200 women has already finished their 40 hours course in business management. Now they have skills to improve their existing business or start with a new idea. Here are the pictures of the women that took the course spring 2019.

In this component we cooperate with Tien Giang Women Union to implement Women Entrepreneurship program (WEP). This aims to enable women to be resilient with climate change by strengthening their business with management skills and market linkage.
The program has 2 training topics for specific participant. The Basic Management Training (BMT) is delivered for women who are running their own business; this training helps women to gain skills and knowledge on how to well manage and develop their work to optimize their business potentials.

The Start Your Business (SYB) training focusses on women who are cherishing a business idea determine to make it come true; this training will be finished by a detailed business plan of each participant with recognition of trainers and consultants. Then those who want to start their business will be recommended to Capital Aid Fund for Women’s Economic Development (CWED), a social fund of women union, to get the loan for business investment.

WEP is designed for Tien Giang Women Union’s sustainability and along with Central Women Union program “supporting for women start-up” period 2017 – 2025 approved by the Prime Minister on 30/6/2017. We selected highly committed women officers to become the core trainers and built their capacity with intensive trainings delivered by Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement (IECD).
The core trainers are also provided tailor-made training annually based on their need in order to well equip them as good trainers for the program. For enrolment, we announce the trainings through women union network in commune level. The participant is invited to an orientation and induction meeting.

Then they will start the course for 10 in-house sessions including many subjects such as: SMART objective determination, products/services and competitors, HR and Procedure, Budgeting and Controlling, Pricing and Profit, Financial management, etc. Besides, the trainees will have 4 home-visits for hands-on counseling at their business place. This helps participant to get in-deep and specific support for individual business model. After finishing the course, there will be 3 follow-up visits after 6 months, 9 months, 12 months to keep supporting trainees at home.

It has been 1 year launching the program. There are about 200 women improved their management skills and develop their business for increasing income as well as creating jobs for many people. We look forward to see thousands of women entrepreneur being successful in their life and business.
